I don't know how it works in your district or town back home. But where I am from a friend of mine got sponsored from a city 4 hours away from his home. Therefore there was no way that his fmaily could host the incoming exchange student. What they had to do was help find someone in the area who could take over their hosting duties. maybe a freind or another family member could do it for you.
Finding host fmailies is one of the hardest parts for the exchagne program. There are always more then enough kids who want to be part of the program. But there are always clubs who have a hard time finding famiies
