I am currently in Finland and I have had no problem being able to continue my hobbies. In fact they have gotten me into so many I have found myslef having to not do some so I have time to travel and explore the country.
It is no problem for you to continue your hobbies on exchage. In fact it is a great way to make friends as you have a common intrest with them. Just remember to not way yourslef down too much as you want to have time to be able to take in the cuntlre that is around you
