Subject continuing your hobbies

Date Fri Aug 31 13:59
Author Kathryn Gloor-Wacowski (kasienko@hotmail.com)

People went out of their way to help me continue my hobbies when I was on exchange in 96-97. Of course, anything that requires special equipment, etc., may not be available in all parts of the world, but considering your hobbies and your destination, I don't think you'll have any problem sticking with it!

When I mentioned that I missed having a piano, my host family spoke with their neighbours, and I was given the keys to their house to use *any time I wanted to*, so I could just go over to their house and play. Likewise, when I mentioned that I missed my theatre group and singing, my host mother managed to get me accepted to both a student theatre troupe (even though I didn't speak the language!) *and* the local city choir! I think you'll find your problem will be finding the time to do everything you'd like rather than a lack of opportunity! :)
