Subject Parents visiting

Date Tue Aug 28 06:00
Author Sarah Krans (s.a.krans@worldnet.att.net)

My mom and Grandma came over to visit--but during the 2nd half of my year. I would seriously recommend that if parents are going to come and visit that they do it later in the year for two reasons. First, if they come at the beginning you are still getting to know your new home, learning the language, getting to know your host family, finding your way around your new town, you are dealing with both culture shock and homesickness, etc. Secondly, if they wait until the 2nd half you will have more things to show them because you will be more comfortable with you new home, etc. Just my suggestion on timing. =)
