- There are 22 million high school students in USA-Canada who are eligible for Rotary Youth Exchange.
- On average, there are 130,000 eligible students in each of the 167 Rotary Districts in USA-Canada.
- The goal is to give a Rotary Passport
to each high school student in the USA-Canada every year inviting them to have a look at our program. This invokes "fairness" and keeps us awash in quality outbound candidates? Make a list of all high schools in your District, and determine the student population of each one. Ask your school Superintendants and Principles to distribute one Rotary Passport to each student. The cost to canvass at one high school is about $50 - affordable by individual Rotary Clubs. Rotary Passports can be handed out also at Rotary Clubs, Interact Clubs, RYLA, District Conferences Rotarian MDs, Dentists and other professionals can display the Rotary Passports in their offices. Students are referred by the Rotary Passport to the USA-Canada Rotary Youth Exchange web site for general program information. Students browse the USA-Canada Youth Exchange web site, and if interested, they fill out an online form. Student prospects are then referred to the appropriate District Chair Youth Exchange for follow-up. Carry some of these Rotary Passports with you to recruit students on the fly.
